So You Think You Can Ride?

So You Think You Can Ride?

If you have't been to a PBR event lately, I highly suggest you go. And no, Im no talking about your everyday local rodeo. Im talking about the real PBR. The world wide, high stakes, baddest MFer's riding bulls.

After you go, you're of course going to want to get in on the action. So that being said, here are some things to know about modern day bull riding.

  1. It's a professional sport: Gone are the days when bull riding was just a sideshow at a local rodeo. Today, bull riding is a professional sport with its own tours, rankings, and competitions. The top riders in the world compete for big prizes and sponsorships, and the sport is even featured on TV and streaming platforms.

  2. The bulls are bred for the job: Gone are the days when any old bovine could be roped into bull riding duty. Today, the bulls used in professional bull riding are specially bred and trained for the job. These powerful beasts are athletic and agile, and they can weigh up to 2,000 pounds.

  3. The gear is high-tech: If you've ever watched bull riding on TV, you know that the riders wear a lot of protective gear. From helmets cams to air vests, the gear that riders use today is designed to keep them safe and enhance their performance.

  4. It's a mental game: Bull riding isn't just about physical strength and courage – it's also a mental game. The best riders are able to stay focused and calm under pressure, and they know how to read the bulls and anticipate their moves.

So if you have the opportunity, stop in and see one. It's become a real actual exciting sport to watch. Just don't bring your PETA loving friends!
