Well, well, well, what an interesting article we have here that just came out. Bon Appetit just put out a new article which included a very interesting study. The synopsis of it; Vegans are switching back to eating meat.
Now before we get into this, I want to clarify. I have nothing against vegans. If you want to go eat plants and granola, go right ahead. Doesn't bother me at all. Here is where I have the issue (which I'm assuming many of you would agree as well), once vegans start pushing their views and beliefs on others. Not saying this is all, but it definitely does happen.
In essence, the study concluded that most vegans don't last 3 months after making the decision to go meatless. In this specific study, they found people who have been vegan for over 5 years. All of them ended up breaking that and turning back to meat.
Funny enough, the main reason why they went vegan was "to save the animals". This is another issue I do have with vegans though. Most of these people have never even seen an animal in real life or much less been on a farm. With so much false info and videos coming out online everyday about the meat industry, it doesn't surprise me why people do decide to go vegan.
That brings up a much larger issue, by people getting a false sense of how animals are ACTUALLY raised and treated, so many of these issues would take care of themselves. Here's the thing, its NATURAL for us to eat meat. So by people going against that, it should come as no surprise that these people are litterly dreaming about meat.
If people would simply do their research and actually see the amount of respect given to most animals being raised for food consumption, the world would be a different place.
