Processed Meat - Beyond Meat

The Hidden Dangers of Overly Processed Meat

Not all meats are safe. Walk through a supermarket aisle and you’ll see shiny packages of “ready-to-eat” meats loaded with ingredients that have no place in your body.

The Problem with Processed Meat

  • Chemical Preservatives: Nitrates and nitrites that may increase cancer risk.

  • Excessive Sodium: Can harm heart health and lead to water retention.

  • Fillers and Additives: Starches, sugars, and artificial flavors that do nothing for nutrition.

  • Low-Quality Meat Sources: Often from factory farms with poor animal health and antibiotic overuse.

This is why going to fast-food restaurants everyday is looked down upon by health experts. Which should also be the standard when it comes to plant-based meat. Another overly-processed type of "fake meat" that shouldn't be consumed by anyone. We get it, that some people want to eat a vegan diet, but "plant-based" meat is not the way to go.

Health Consequences

  • Increased risk of colon cancer and other cancers.

  • Inflammation and gut damage, leading to bloating and discomfort.

  • Hormonal disruption from industrial processing chemicals.

  • Nutrient loss during heavy processing and preservation.

At Dude Food, we believe meat should be:

  • Clean: Zero unnecessary chemicals.

  • Whole: Minimal handling, maximum nutrition.

  • Transparent: Straight from our 200+ Midwest family farms.

If your meat comes with a paragraph of ingredients, it’s not real food.
