NY Strip & Baked Potatoes

NY Strip & Baked Potatoes

Hey guys, are you looking for an easy and delicious meal to impress your friends or significant other? Well we have the ultimate dude meal. Steak and potatoes.

NY strip steak is a classic cut of beef that is flavorful and tender, and it pairs perfectly with a baked potato. This recipe is easy to follow and requires only a few basic ingredients and kitchen tools.

Ingredients:

  • 2 NY strip steaks, about 1 inch thick
  • 2 large potatoes
  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: garlic powder, rosemary, or other herbs for seasoning

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).

  2. Wash and scrub the potatoes thoroughly, then pierce them with a fork several times. This will help steam escape during baking.

  3. Rub the potatoes with olive oil and sprinkle with salt and pepper.

  4. Place the potatoes on a baking sheet and bake for about 45-60 minutes, or until tender when pierced with a fork.

  5. While the potatoes are baking, prepare the steaks. Remove the steaks from the fridge and let them come to room temperature for 30-60 minutes. This will help them cook more evenly.

  6. Preheat a skillet or grill over high heat. You want it to be very hot.

  7. Rub the steaks with olive oil and season with salt and pepper (and any other herbs or spices you like).

  8. When the skillet or grill is hot, add the steaks and cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or longer if you prefer a more well-done steak.

  9. Remove the steaks from the skillet or grill and let them rest for 5-10 minutes before serving.

  10. Serve the steaks with the baked potatoes on the side. You can add butter, sour cream, chives, or any other toppings you like to the potatoes.

There you have it, guys! A simple and delicious recipe for NY strip steak and baked potatoes. Remember to let the steaks rest before cutting into them!

Enjoy dude!
