Ultimate Parmesan Garlic Wings

Ultimate Parmesan Garlic Wings

Wings... quite possibly one of the best meals to get when you go out. Whether it's an app or a full plate, it's hard to go wrong. But if you're into bone-in wings, I can't help you here. Don't come at me with the "boneless wings are just chicken nuggets." Not true because there are shitty boneless wings. However, this is the secret recipe to making the best wings at home. Honestly, it's probably not as hard as you think either. It just starts with some good chicken.

Ingredients:

  • 2 pounds boneless chicken wings
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Vegetable oil for frying

For the Parmesan garlic sauce:

  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).

  2. In a large bowl, combine the flour, salt, black pepper, paprika, and garlic powder. Mix well.

  3. Dip each boneless chicken wing into the flour mixture, making sure it's coated evenly. Shake off any excess flour.

  4. In a large skillet or deep fryer, heat vegetable oil to 375°F (190°C). Fry the chicken wings in batches for about 4-5 minutes or until they are golden brown and crispy. Remove from the oil and place on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.

  5. Once all the wings are fried, transfer them to a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake in the preheated oven for an additional 10-12 minutes to ensure they are fully cooked.

  6. While the wings are baking, prepare the Parmesan garlic sauce. In a small bowl, combine the grated Parmesan cheese, melted butter, minced garlic, chopped parsley, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.

  7. Remove the wings from the oven and transfer them to a large mixing bowl. Pour the Parmesan garlic sauce over the wings and toss them until evenly coated.

  8. Serve the wings hot, garnished with additional grated Parmesan cheese and chopped parsley if desired. They're perfect for dipping in ranch or blue cheese dressing.

Eight simple steps, and you've got a hell of a meal! The biggest key to success in this recipe, though? The chicken. If you get some store-bought cheap deal, you will end up being disappointed. Pay a little more so you can get a little more. If you want chicken that comes from American family farmers, Dude Food can ship it right to your door! Enjoy!
