You've heard of getting meat at the grocery store, buying it from a local butcher, or getting it shipped to you from Dude Foods. But how about getting it from a vending machine?
One rancher in Kansas City is now doing exactly that! While that may seem like an odd thing to do, apparently it's a popular thing in both Europe and Japan.
The vending machine is essentially just a giant freezer that you use like any other vending machine. Tim Haer, who is the guy behind this, placed one just outside a coffee house in Waldo, Kansas. It includes everything from steaks, burgers, and summer sausage to beef sticks. All the beef in the vending machine comes from their 600-acre farm, Green Grass Cattle Co, located just outside of Weston.
As technology continues to advance, farmers are looking for more and more ways to be creative in selling their product, since the conventional way is no longer a viable option.
