California's Vegan Restaurants Are Putting Meat Back On The Menu

What a great story we have coming out of good ole California. Over the last few months, many well-known vegan only restaurants, have been forced to add meat options back to their menu!

Why? They are not getting enough business. During 2018 - 2020, the "veganism" trend spiked up. Many restaurants tried to jump on this trend and dump everything that had real meat or dairy.

However because less than 1% of the USA actually considerers themselves a vegan, it became apparent very quickly that this was not going to work. Thus the reason they are now restocking their offerings with real meat.

This story leads to a further point and the reason we wanted to share this story. Here is the takeaway: No matter what you information you see about real meat being terrible, its clear the people of America don't agree.

Time and time again we have seen articles, videos, and other media showing how "plant based meat" is the next best thing. Yet, the only thing we have seen so far is these companies crumbling after just a few years.

No, checking your meats temp with a probe is NOT recking it

We all know that one friend who grills out with a fork. Stabbing the meat to flip it, cutting it open to check the "doneness" and letting all the flavor leak into the bottom of the grill. Obviously, that is not a winning strategy for a great piece of meat (ps, use tongs!)

However, it does beg the question: does poking a prob to check the temp letting all the juice out?

Its a fair question but the answer is simply no. As long as your not using a super dull probe, it will be totally fine! The small amount of "juices" the leak out, will be nominal and won't affect the taste!

We definitely recommend using a temp probe as it will help you achieve that perfect level of "done".
