Want That Delicious Bar Food Burger At Home? We Got The Secret...

This may seem dumb that we are making a recipe on how to cook burgers, but you would be surprised how hard it is to mimic that delicious pub burger. From toasting the buns to adding the right sauces, there are some fine details that go into the ultimate burger.

P.S: Scroll all the way down to see the biggest secret of all in making the best cheeseburger! Check it out below!

Ingredients: (makes 4 burgers)

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • Salt and pepper
  • 4 hamburger buns
  • 4 slices of your favorite cheese
  • 4 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 4 tablespoons ketchup
  • 4 tablespoons mustard
  • 4 slices of tomato
  • 4 lettuce leaves
  • Pickles (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your grill or a skillet over medium-high heat.

  2. Divide the ground beef into four equal portions, and shape each one into a patty about ¾ inch thick. Season each patty with salt and pepper on both sides.

  3. Once the grill or skillet is hot, place the patties on the grill or in the skillet. Cook the patties for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired level of doneness.

  4. While the patties are cooking, prepare your buns and toppings. Toast the buns on the grill or in a toaster, and slice the tomato and pickles.

  5. Once the patties are cooked, place a slice of cheese on each patty and allow it to melt for about 1-2 minutes.

  6. To assemble the burgers, spread 1 tablespoon of mayonnaise on the bottom of each bun, followed by 1 tablespoon of ketchup and 1 tablespoon of mustard.

  7. Place the cooked patty with the melted cheese on top of the condiments, followed by a slice of tomato, a lettuce leaf, and pickles if desired.

  8. Finally, top the burger with the other half of the bun and serve immediately.

Again, it may very self explanatory to make a cheeseburger. But if you want the real key to making a great cheeseburger, it starts with the patty. Buying any old regular hamburger won't get you to far. Most of the hamburger you buy is comprised of fatty trimmings and unusable cuts. However not all burgers are the same. That is why at Dude Food, we specifically use ground Angus chuck for our burgers.

The chuck section of an Angus has tons of flavor and will give you that ultimate pub burger experience. Made with hand selected cuts, our burgers are made are intentionally made with specific cuts of meat. Not just because there are extra trimmings left over!
